France Visa Process

Important Points To Be Considered Before Filing Visa
  1. Please read the Offer carefully and check the name of the student, expiry of Offer, deadline to make the fee payment and conditions to be fulfilled, if any, for an Unconditional Offer.
  2. If there are any conditions in the Offer, they should first be met to convert it to an Unconditional Offer. This should be done before making the tuition fee deposit.
  3. Once the student accepts the unconditional offer, the tuition fee payment has to be made.
  4. Please forward the swift copy receipt of the payment to us which we will send to the institution.
  5. On receiving the Payment Receipt/Final Acceptance letter from the Institution, we will need to start the process for visa.

VFS Procedure
VFS Procedure:

Once the Campus France procedure is successfully completed and NOC(No Objection Certificate) is received, the student needs to do the VFS procedure.

  • Create an account on https://france-visas.gouv.fr/en/online-application and complete the online application form.
  • Make sure that all steps of application are marked as confirmed. If they are, there will be a green checkmark and statement that “All the steps have been confirmed” next to your name.
  • Click on the “PDF” symbol to download a copy of your application. Review your entries carefully to ensure that you have provided correct information. If you need to change anything, click on the corresponding edit symbols, else print the form.
  • Click on “Continue” to view what supporting documentation you will need to take along to VFS.
  • Next please use the link to make an Online appointment at VFS: https://visa.vfsglobal.com/ind/en/fra/
  • Visa fees to be paid at VFS France.
  • There is a separate visa fee to be paid in cash at VFS France. VISA fees is €50.
Documents Required For France VFS Student Visa
    • Passport/Travel Document with at least 2 blank pages (face to face) and having a validity of at least 3 months after intended stay + Old passport
    • Passport photocopy (first and last page)
    • Long stay visa application form correctly filled, dated and signed

    • Admission letter from the school mentioning the duration and the payable fees
    • Receipt of payment (50% at least or full amount of the tuition fees)
    • For French Government scholarship holder : attestation certifying the amount and duration of the scholarship

    • Curriculum Vitae
    • Original + Copy of latest degree / diploma
    • Expenses Statement + Proof of financial means : updated bank statement(s) with sufficient funds, loan.
    • At least 1000€/month is required = EUR 12,000 per year
    • For each sponsor :
      1. Covering letter (mentioning social situation and financial elements)

      3. Last 3 months Bank statement
      4. Last 3 years ITR/ source of income is required
      5. Last 3 months' payslips or proof of professional situation

  • Liquid funds to be shown is the sum of the amount of tuition fees plus a minimum of €1000 per month for 1 YEAR. On an average around € 12,000 are required for living expenses per year.
  • In case the course duration is for more than 12 months then living expenses are to be shown for a 12-month period only.
  • Balance tuition fees must be shown.

  • Balance in Savings Account (which ideally should be 3 months old). Fixed Deposit.
  • 100% Education Loan Sponsorship

Q) Can IELTS be waived off in France?
  • Yes, IELTS can be waived off in France.
  • Student will have to attend a Skype interview with the Institution during the admission process so that the communication skills and genuineness of the student may be determined.
  • MOI is required.
  • The last education of the student should have been completed in English medium.
Q) What are the basic entry requirements?
  • The basic entry requirements would be a minimum of 55% in.
  • The last education and good English communication skills.
Q) Are backlogs accepted?
  • Limited backlogs up to 5-10 in number may be accepted in France if the course is completed in the given duration.
  • Some colleges require 0 backlogs.
Q) Is a 3-year Bachelor’s program accepted when applying for a Master’s?
  • Yes, it is accepted for Business programs but for Engineering and I.T. programs 4 years of Bachelor’s study is mandatory.
Q) Is there any application fee?
  • Most of the institutions that we are partnered with do not have an application fee.
  • Some business schools have an application fee from €45 – €100.
Q) Are the tuition fees to be paid before visa filing?
  • Yes, the tuition fee is to be deposited before the student files for visa.
  • Some institutions may require the complete year’s tuition fees to be paid in advance while others may require only the first semester’s fees to be paid up before applying for visa.

  • The Campus France application is online.
  • After the online application submission, the student will have to visit the nearest Campus France along with all the required documents and will have to face an academic interview.

Q) Is French proficiency required for admission?
  • French language proficiency is not a mandatory requirement at the time of application or visas, but it will be helpful for the student for getting around his/her activities and for a job.

  • Yes, Limited gap is acceptable, but the student should be able to justify the same during the Interview.
