The length of bachelor degrees can be 3-4 years & master programs for 1-2 years in length

Requirements

Students must have 60% in last qualification for good chances for Finland. For some masters, certain universities may ask for 2 year work experience or even some have an online entrance and interview requirement too. Further, IELTS 6 Overall for UG & 6.5 for PG degrees or equivalent tests. There are some universities offering admission without IELTS. Spousal visa

Students can take along their spouses who can work full time in Finland. The marriage can be new or old, there is no such requirement, however marriage proofs & documentation is required. Also, there is no educational qualification requirement for spouse as well. In case of student & spouse going together, they can apply for TRP card directly from here which is temporary resident permit card.

Work during study

Students can work part time up to 30 hours during study, however the primary focus has to be education & there is no scope of performing bad in studies. The current minimum wage is estimated around 7 to 8 euros per hour.

Tuition fees

The annual estimated tuition fees for bachelor degree can be approximately 8000-10,000 euros while it can be approximately 10,000 - 12,000 euros annually for master degree programs.

Scholarships

There are several scholarships students can apply, like Finnish government scholarships particularly for those from developing countries.Also many Finnish universities offer scholarships to international students, often based on academic merit or financial need. The university scholarships are usually automatic and don’t require any separate application. There are also external scholarships available, such as those offered by the European Union or other organizations.

Post-Study Work Permit

After completing studies either bachelor or master degree, students are eligible for 2 years post-study work permit. This permit will allow you to search for a job or set up a business in Finland. Finland has a strong economy, and many international students find work in fields like technology, engineering, and business. Finland is also a great place to start your own business, with many resources available for entrepreneurs.

PR in Finland

Since post-study work permit allows you to search for a job & after acquiring a job and staying continuously 4-5 years in Finland, you become eligible to apply for permanent residency (PR). Finland is PR friendly country and qualified candidates have great to become of such a wealthy country in Northern Europe.

Fund show for study visa

Students need to show 1 year living expenses set as 9600 euros (Some around 8.5 to 9 lakhs in INR). To apply for visa, students need to pay 1 year course fees. Thus fund-show for study visa is an amount = 1st year living expenses + balance tuition fees after paying 1st year tuition fees. The funds have to be in student saving account & proof of funds is not required. Student can opt for education loan, however, the whole amount needs to be disbursed in the student bank account. There is no sponsors/sponsorship requirement and recent funds are acceptable.

Study visa process

The application process is electronic and students need to visit VFS Finland Delhi for biometrics. Students also have to buy travel insurance & health insurance.
