If you’re looking to change your course or institution, you need to follow or know the following points.
✅If you are changing your course within the same educational institution in Australia, the process can be relatively easy. If you want to do it right at the beginning, just before starting the classes, simply request your University about it after reaching to Australia. Make sure you are eligible for the next course, and it is same in level, like your are changing from masters to masters or bachelor to bachelor. Also you need to have a valid reason for the change, and most importantly your new course should be available for the same intake.
✅Now second situation is that if you are changing the course as well as the university/institution, you’ll typically need to complete at least six months of your primary course before you can consider switching to another course in a different University. Also, in case you want to only change your University and keeping the course same, you have to again complete at least six months of your primary course at your primary University. Your may also apply for credit transfer at new institution in case of not changing the course. Also, switching to another university sometimes requires a release letter/approval which you should receive from your original institution. In addition, you must provide a valid reason for transfer apart from meeting entry and other requirement at your new University.
✅A proper research and speaking with your University/academic adviser/ international student coordinator is important to ensure that your transfer is smooth and legitimate. You should be Australia to make such a transfer or change in your Australian education.
✅You don’t need to change or update your student visa if you’re changing to a same-leve course. In case your change to a lower-level course, you will have to apply for a new student visa.
