Malta

Malta is an island located in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea, about 100 km from mainland Europe. It is well connected by air and sea, with Malta International Airport offering convenient flights to major cities across Europe and beyond. In 2018, Malta recorded the fastest growth in international student numbers compared to other popular destinations like the UK, USA, and Australia. This rise was driven by new policies introduced in mid-2018, allowing students to work part-time and stay back after their studies. The average travel time from Mumbai to Malta is around 13 hours and 30 minutes. It is a part of Europe, covering an area of 5.25 lakh square kilometres. The capital city is Valletta, and the country has a population of 12.1 lakh. The official languages spoken are Maltese and English, and the currency used is the Euro.
